Forming: Environment as Material, Landscape, Art
is a 2024-2025 collaborative project with Rebecca Murtaugh, Melody Stein, and Justin Morris-Marano that investigates the use of environmental forming factors to generate novel materials and fabrication processes that have broad application in sculpture, landscape architecture, and design. Through explorations and designed interventions, we created a series of artworks and generated protocols for leveraging geomorphic phenomena such as erosion, flooding, decontamination and more.
This project has been generously supported by the Dietrich Inchworm Grant at Hamilton College.
We produced a three volume booklet of the project that is available here below in pdf format and a printed booklet that is available upon request.
